Project Life 2014....Week 30

Week 30 of my 2014 Project Life was sure a fun one.  I was knee deep in garden veggies during this week so it was all about the canning.  I did a two page spread with an insert.
Here's the two page spread by itself.
The left page.
The right page.
This was my journaling for this week.  I used Gossamer Blue kits for the papers and Ali Edwards story prompt stamps for the stamping.  Really loving her program of story prompt stamps and the videos (and now kits) that tie it all together.
For each item I canned I took use a close up photo + I created a collage photo of the same item.  Really love how this turned out.
For all of the wording I used a combination of fonts from the Phonto app on my iPhone.
For the collage I used the Becky Higgins Project Life app on my iPhone.
I then mailed all the photos to my email address, opened them on my big Mac and printed them with a white border.
Absolutely love the way this week turned out and hope to come back to this idea in the future.
This is a 6 x 12 insert with some random photos of my jars, my kitchen while canning and some of my jars all lined up after canning.
The back side of the insert shows a few of the canned items in some recipes.
I used little tags from my shop for typed journaling.
Love, love, love.  I could totally see using this type of spread for a week in December to add in more holiday photos.....or how about a birthday party.....or Week in the Life.  Lots of possibilities. Hope you're inspired.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Michelle,
I totally love your PL spread for week 30! I always thought about trying to do some canning but I would not know where to start first! LOL ... one question for you,.. for your pickled peppers and onions and your salsa.. do you need to keep them refrigerated or can they sit on the shelve? If they can sit on the shelf, what is the shelve life?
Hugs,
Jo

I so love your style of PL. I haven't started and I am scared too. I don't take nearly as many photos as I use too but I wish I did.

Lastly, I need to come be a fly on your shoulder when you can. I have done some peaches and pickles but never tried to make my own jams or anything else. I think it is fun when your around friends that do it. It was never something I was raised in :( Wish I was though!

Love tour style Michele and I've shared your blog with many many people! I've had lots of favorite layouts of yours but as a fellow canner, I think this one steals the show! I can hardly wait for canning season to get here again so I can do a fabulous layout like this! I always take pics of it but never dedicate a whole spread to it! The act of canning absolutely deserves it! Beautiful shots! And do tell what you do with the canned peppers and onions! Absolutely trying that!
